Burt's Bees Hand Salve and Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream.

Burt's Bees are a brand that I have always loved using. Describing themselves as "earth-friendly", they pride themselves on using the best ingredients nature has to offer, such as beeswax, botanical and essential oils, herbs, flowers and minerals. Their products average at 99% natural, with half being 100% natural - pretty impressive! Two products from the range that I've been enjoying using recently are the Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream and Hand Salve, both of which boast 100% natural ingredients. I think it's important to give your hands a little extra love in the colder winter months and these two products do just that. I absolutely love the tins that they come in - as with all Burt's Bees packaging they have cute, vintage style labels which give the products a real rustic feel. Both products are solid balms too, which means a little goes a long way and they last an impressive amount of time.

The Hand Salve is described as being Burt's Bees "most intensive hand treatment", and is recommended for use on "hard-working, rough, dry hands" making it perfect for harsh and dry winters. It contains eucalyptus oil which gives it a strong, almost medicinal smell (reminds me of Vicks VapoRub!) with a hint of lavender, which I personally like but I imagine it won't be for everybody. The salve is quite oily, which does absorb after a few minutes but means it's probably best not to use this product on the go. I tend to use it just before bed and I find it really effective - I wake up with hands that are incredibly moisturised and soft. This salve is also great when used on other dry patches such as elbows and knees, which as a big fan of multi-use products, I love!

The Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream is another intensive treatment which promises to nourish and moisturise your nails and cuticles. It smells DIVINE - like fresh lemon peel but not at all synthetic, which I really like. Unsurprisingly, lemon oil is one of the main ingredients along with sweet almond oil and cocoa butter, which helps to strengthen and improve the condition of your nails. After biting my nails throughout my childhood I've been left with pretty weak nails which are prone to breaking, so this product is perfect for me. Again, I like to use this on a night before bed and it leaves my nails and fingertips feeling much more moisturised and healthy. Definitely going to be repurchasing this!

Have you used any Burt's Bees products? Any favourites?
