Spring Fever Glossybox.
My immediate reaction when I opened up my Glossybox parcel this month was that the box itself is just ridiculously pretty. The limited edition box, which was designed by Pearl Lowe, has a beautiful vintage floral print inspired by the English countryside - lovely! I have a feeling this box is going to sneak its way onto my dressing table sometime very soon...
The contents of the box this month didn't disappoint either. Glossybox seems to be straying slightly from the high-end luxury samples that it initially delivered and is instead becoming a little more high-street friendly, but they are definitely not compromising on the quality. There's two full sized products in this box that together are worth almost double the price of the box! Here's what I got in my box this month:
Essie Nice is Nice
Essie nail polishes are something that I would happily buy with my own money, so I loved opening my box to see this. Nice is Nice is a gorgeous grey toned lilac which is perfect for spring. As with all Essie polishes this is high quality, applies really nicely and has so far lasted me three days with no chipping. This is a full size product which retails for £7.99.
ModelCo Cheek and Lip Tint in Rosy Red
I'm a big fan of Benefit's Benetint and this product is the same type of thing – a multi-purpose lip and cheek tint in a lovely rose colour. The gel comes out initially a very frighteningly dark red, but blends out easily into a really sheer and natural looking pinky-red flush. Again, this is a full size product which is worth £15.
Nip + Fab Pistachio Sundae Body Butter
Oh my gosh, this smells simply amazing! It's very sweet and almost smells like ice-cream, with a hint of nuttiness from the pistachio. The body butter itself is lovely – it sinks in really easily and is light but nice and moisturising at the same time. This 50ml miniature is worth £2.95, and a bigger 200ml version costs £9.95.
Yves Rocher So Elixir Purple
Beauty boxes take note - this is how perfume samples should be! Rather than a disappointing cardboard encased vial, this adorable little sample comes in a 5ml glass bottle which is just too cute and allows you to really sample the product properly. My first impressions are that this is a nice woody floral scent that will be lovely for everyday wear. A full sized 50ml version of this is £44.
Sun Sense Daily Face Invisible Tint Finish
The only product that didn't particularly excite me - it's a tinted face cream with added SPF 50+. As I'm so pale, anything with the word 'tinted' in it scares me slightly, and unfortunately this seems to be a one use bottle (the nozzle has to be broken off and can't be reattached) so I can't open it to test out the colour. I'm going to save this for my holiday this summer and hope for the best! The full size of this is 75g and costs £18.50.
I'm really happy with this months box. I LOVE the Essie polish, Nip + Fab Butter and ModelCo Tint and would happily pay full price for each of them. The Yves Rocher perfume is perfect for sticking in your handbag and the cute packaging makes it feel that little bit more special than the usual plastic vials. Honestly, I could take or leave the Sunsense, but the rest of the box more than makes up for it. I'm a very happy girl this month, and for £10 plus p&p this box was a total bargain!
