I really like Illamasqua; their brand ethics, style and dare-to-be-different attitude really sets them apart from many other brands around at the moment. As a pale-skinned lady, they're always the first counter I head to if I'm in need of foundation as they have some of the palest shades on the market - including a pure white! I've been using their Skin Base Liquid Foundation for over a year now and really love it, so I decided it was justifiable to splash out on another of their face products - the Power Foundation.
Firstly, the shade is perfect, which is definitely no mean feat for me. I was matched to 115, the lightest shade minus the whites. Described as being for "very light skin with neutral undertones", the colour is undetectable on my skin - it just makes my skin much more even, and gives it a soft, matte look which I love. Illamasqua include a little powder puff with this product which is a nice touch, but I've been applying it with a soft kabuki brush which I much prefer. I've been using this dusted lightly over any oily areas after applying liquid foundation, or just on its own for a slightly more casual, everyday look. It can also be used with a damp brush for fuller coverage.
