Let me introduce you to my latest MAC love... Lady Danger. A beautiful orange toned red that is perfect when paired with big sunnies in summer for a retro, pin-up vibe. I picked this up from MAC a few weeks ago. I actually headed to the counter with the intention of buying Morange, but was a little surprised by just how orange it is in the flesh so decided to grab this instead - and I'm so glad I did. Although I feel slightly as though I'm cheating on Russian Red (MAC's deeper, blue toned red and my all-time favourite red lipstick), this has taken a firm place at the front of my lipstick collection for the coming summer months.
Lady Danger has a matte finish which I think really compliments the shade. As with all matte lipsticks, it is on the dry side (although MAC make some of the more hydrating matte lipsticks I've used), so it helps to prime your lips with a scrub and balm before application; however, the plus side to the formula is that once it's on it really stays put - it has lasted me a good six hours without touch-ups. As with all MAC lipsticks, this lipstick is fantastic quality, very highly pigmented and has that lovely subtle vanilla scent. I've seen it on a variety of skin tones from very light to dark - the orange tones are pretty strong against pale skin, but on darker, warmer skin tones it appears a little more red, however it's one of those wonder products that seems to look good on everyone. If you fancy a lipstick that gives a bold, cheerful pop of colour in the summer then I honestly couldn't recommend Lady Danger more.
