I first became aware of Lolita Lempicka perfumes when I received a couple of sample vials of their scents in a beauty box a year or so ago. Si Lolita was one that intrigued me from the beginning. I wore it out one evening, and despite initially not being sure about the scent, I couldn't stop thinking about it for months after and knew that I had to invest in a bottle.
Si Lolita is like no other perfume I own. Described as a "feminine interpretation of a traditionally masculine note of spice", it contains spicy notes of pink peppercorn and sweet pea which blend amazingly with more typical citrus notes of bergamot and mandarin. In simple terms, it reminds me a little of that spicy sweet smell that hits you when you walk into a Lush store, but much more refined and grown up. The fragrance is housed in an unique and exuberant four leaf clover shaped bottle, with a cute little polka dot scarf around the neck. Like the scent itself, it's a bit "out there" and some people will hate it, but I think it's exquisite and it sits very proudly on display on my dressing table.
I'm so pleased that I took the plunge and bought a bottle of this. It's not the cheapest of perfumes, but if you do a little online hunting you can generally find it for much less than the RRP. I'd definitely recommend giving it a sniff in a store first though (if you can find it - I came across a bottle in my local House of Fraser after much searching!) because as I said, it's not for everyone. Personally, I'm utterly in love with everything about this scent - it's unique, intriguing, feminine but not overly so, sophisticated and fun, all at the same time. Definitely one of my favourite perfumes of all time.
